Working Mom’s Coffee

working-coffeeBeing a new Mom, even if it’s not your first time, can be exhilarating. And exhausting. And all the more so when you’re juggling both motherhood and work. It’s always good to know you’re not alone. And even better to get together with other Moms for friendship and support.

Come (with your baby, of course) to these informal get-togethers to relax, have a cup of coffee, and share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with other Working Moms. Our hosts keeps things lively and comfortable, serving the coffee, brewing the conversation, and answering questions on everything from breastfeeding to new parent survival.

These great social events are FREE and open to ALL Working Moms with babies from Birth to 12 Months. (You don’t have to be a Kids Plus Mom to attend.)

No tickets, no registrations, no worries. Come as you are, for as little or as long as you like, and enjoy some great coffee, conversation, and community. It’s all free, and it’s all for you.

When & Where

1st Monday & 4th Tuesday of the Month, 6-8pm
The Well @ Kids Plus Squirrel Hill/Greenfield
4070 Beechwood Blvd Pittsburgh, PA 15217

Your 1st Monday Host: Erin Blache Cohen

Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has traveled to over 40 countries. She earned a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and studied Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida Institute of Technology. Erin loves talking about behavior — from language and toileting (for little ones) to self-care and support strategies (for parents). When not exploring Pittsburgh and the globe with her husband and kids, Erin does mental health counseling in private practice.

Your 4th Tuesday Host: Kathy McGrath

Kathy has been teaching and working with new Moms since 1995. She’s served on the Faculty and Board of Directors of Lamaze International, and won the Elizabeth Bing Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Childbirth Education in 2006. One of the first ten DONA-Certified doulas in the country, Kathy is a founding member of The Birth Circle, an agency that provides birth education, labor, and postpartum support to underserved and at-risk mothers in Pittsburgh. She’s happily married to a wonderful man who is her partner in every sense of the word, and the proud mother of 3 children.
