Olivia Buterbaugh grew up in Sarver, PA, raised by a loving family and immersed in the medical field: one uncle and two cousins are chiropractors, multiple aunts are nurses, her Mom is in radiology, her older sister is a nurse, and her younger sister is a dental hygienist.
Olivia graduated from Duquesne University, where she earned a B.S. in Health Sciences and a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. She’s a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics.
Olivia met her husband, Damion, when they were neighbors on Mt. Washington during her time at Duquesne. She has wonderful memories of spending time on Mt. Washington, at Station Square, and on the South Side with her husband, roommates and friends. Mt. Washington also holds a special place in her heart because it was the site of her wedding ceremony, at Saint Mary of the Mount Church, and because her wedding reception was held onboard the Gateway Clipper Fleet — a great place to see and show off the Three Rivers for all her friends and family!
Olivia and her husband currently live in Valencia, with their toddler son Ezra and their beloved Siberian Husky, Maya.
As a child, Olivia’s favorite toys were Barbies; she spent many hours playing with them with her friends and her little sister. A close second would be a soccer ball; she enjoyed many years of playing recreational, high school, and Cup soccer. As an adult, she enjoys running, going to the park with her family, and visiting her sisters in the Carolinas and her Grandparents in Canada.
As a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, some of Olivia’s best memories are Steelers and Penguins tailgates and parties with friends and family. She’s happy to continue those traditions with her own family, and to attend as many games as she can. Her favorite place to “play” in Pittsburgh is cheering on the Steelers at Heinz Field.
