Tierney Ludwick

Tierney Ludwick was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Hampton Township. Her passion for medical and pediatric social work stemmed from her own experience with complex medical needs as a child and her encounters with a few incredible social workers who became strong supports and mentors in her personal and professsional development.

After earning undergraduate (University of Valley Forge) and graduate (Roberts Wesleyan College) degrees in Social Work, and becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Tierney worked in various positions in mental and behavioral health in the Greater Pittsburgh Area, most recently as the Wonder Kids Therapist with Wesley Family Services, where she provided clinical oversight for a social skills group therapy program for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism or social pragmatic communication disorder.

As a Kids Plus Resource and Counseling Coordinator, Tierney works with our clinical team to provide emotional support, care coordination, resource coordination, and help in navigating medical, educational, behavioral health, and mental health systems for our patients and families.

In her spare time, Tierney works part-time as a youth coach with a local faith-based organization and volunteers as an usher with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. She also enjoys going to the movies, playing board games, ballroom dancing with her husband, hiking, traveling internationally, and spending time with family and friends.

Her favorite childhood toys were Cabbage Patch Kids, Beanie Babies, and her stuffed animal dog, Penny.

Her favorite places to “play” in Pittsburgh are hiking along the Rachel Carson Trail, on the Trillium Trail, or in Ohiopyle State Park.
